The Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market comes once a year and it is a Big Dog. My deepest respect goes out to the organizers of this event, they are simply All Star Champions! This is hands down one of the biggest fundraisers I've ever seen. If you think Costco or Sams Club is a big place, try going to the Houston Reliant Center for the annual Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market. This is a place where it seems everyone in Texas comes to do their Holiday Shopping.
One year, I had the pleasure of watching Barbara Bush and her crew pull into the Valet Parking Space in a black limousine with secret service agents surrounding the entourage. It was quite delightful to watch.
The event begins Wed. night (Nov. 7) with a Wells Fargo preview party 7pm-10:30. Our staff will fly in Wed. Morning and be ready to roll by 6pm...an early morning of traveling, getting settled in hotel, set up booth....and work the preview show....it's a long day. But we are used to this, there is many long hours in front of us, but our staff always has a good time meeting and speaking with our customers.
